Things you MUST NOT DO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> eat or drink anything for at least 6 hours before your appointment<\/li>
  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> proceed with treatment if you have been unwell within 2 weeks of your appointment<\/li>
  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> smoke for at least 24 hours before your appointment<\/li>
  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> wear contact lenses to your appointment<\/li>
  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> wear lipstick or nail polish to your appointment<\/li>
  • DO NOT<\/span><\/strong> wear jewellery to your appointment<\/li><\/ul>

    Things you MUST DO<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

    • DO <\/span><\/strong>continue to take your regular medication with a small sip of water, unless the sedationist advises otherwise<\/li>
    • DO <\/span><\/strong>wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing<\/li>
    • DO <\/span><\/strong>dress warmly in cold weather<\/li>
    • DO <\/span><\/strong>brush your teeth thoroughly before your appointment<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

      • Rest for 24 hours after appointment<\/span><\/li>
      • Eat light, easily digestible food for the remainder of the day<\/span><\/li>
      • Do not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after the appointment<\/span><\/li>
      • Continue to take your regular medications after the appointment<\/span><\/li>
      • Do not drive, operate machinery or make any important decisions on the same day as your sedation appointment<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
