Who can benefit from dental sedation?

Dental sedation is a technique used to assist patients to relax during dental treatment. A lot of people are scared of the dentist and as such, avoid going to the dentist until they have extreme pain. Being scared has meant avoiding the dentist until it is too late. Teeth cannot be saved and so have to be extracted.

Dental sedation is not limited to people who are scared. It is frequently a choice for people who would like to have a more pleasant experience when they have some more involved treatment planned. Treatment such as having wisdom teeth removed or having dental implants placed or even when there are a lot of fillings to be done and it is easier to have it done in one appointment over visiting the dentist multiple times.
